Anal Gland Expression

Caring for Your Pet’s Anal Glands
All dogs and cats have these two small glands near the anal opening. Anal gland issues arise when the anal glands of dogs and cats become over-filled, blocked, or irritated. These glands can be expressed at the clinic; however, an appointment is required if you prefer Dr. Lisa to express your pet’s glands. If not, a technician will be expressing the anal glands.
