Microchipping
Microchipping
A microchip is a tiny device that provides your pet with permanent identification. This gives them the best chance of coming home if they become lost. Registered chips contain your contact information, readable only by a special scanner used by veterinary teams, animal rescue professionals and shelters. With a premium subscription, lost pet specialists and a network of pet rescuers spring into action, getting the word out about your pet.
One of our team members will insert the microchip under the skin between the shoulder blades. Our staff will then register your pet with your contact information with HomeAgain. Once a year, HomeAgain will send you a letter asking if you want to renew your pet’s microchip. You do not have to, but you can create an account anytime and change any information you need. We recommend microchipping outside pets like dogs, cats, skunks, and raccoons.
